THE INDEPENDENT VOICE OF THE VISUAL ARTS
Andrew Bae will be closing at the end of the year, and Thomas Masters Gallery will close its physical space at the end of August, but will continue doing business online.
Incorporated in 1888, the Chicago Society of Artists is the oldest, consecutively running artist association in the United States. Over the years, art world luminaries such as Ivan Albright, Leroy Neiman and Gertrude Abercrombie have all been members.
The C.S.A. published their first block print calendar in 1937, making 2020 the 82nd edition. James Mesple, Catherine Cajandig and Catherine Jones are three of the current members whose images appear in the pages. Considered to be a portable gallery, each week features a black and white artwork created by a Chicago-based artist.
Just in time for the holidays, these limited edition calendars are $15.00, including postage and handling within the continental U.S.A..
